LAUREN SEYMOUR, DVM
Dr. Seymour was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She is forever a Hokie after spending eight years in beautiful Blacksburg, Virginia to attend school. She also spent a semester abroad in Australia studying native wildlife and neuroscience. Dr. Seymour graduated from Virginia Tech in 2006 with a BS in Biology and Psychology, and from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine with her doctorate in 2010.
After graduation, Dr. Seymour completed a small animal internship at Friendship Hospital for Animals in Washington, D.C. She then spent two years in general practice at a small animal hospital in Charlotte. In 2013 Dr. Seymour returned to Washington, D.C. to pursue advanced training in medical oncology through a specialty internship with The Oncology Service. After spending three years practicing in Western Massachusetts as an Oncology Hospitalist and Chief of Wellness Medicine, she returned to North Carolina to join East Lincoln Animal Hospital in 2017.
Dr. Seymour’s professional interests include client education and preventative care, dentistry, and internal medicine. She also has a special passion for providing cancer diagnostics, treatments and hospice care to the patients of East Lincoln Animal Hospital. Dr. Seymour also runs our Clinical Trial service, increasing our ability to offer the latest treatments and therapies for our patients.
Dr. Seymour lives in Huntersville with her husband, their Golden Retriever, and three cats. She enjoys exploring the outdoors and hiking, traveling, and watching college football (Go Hokies!).
