Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement  We have all experienced the pain of losing a pet. The Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement has set up this site for support during this most difficult time. You will find inspirational stories, grief counseling resources, hotline number and many other resources.

American Association of Feline Practitioners The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health.
 
American Veterinary Medical Association This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics, including feline injection-site sarcomas and the latest subjects in veterinary medicine

Balance It  An excellent site with many useful tools to determine what your pet is being fed. It can formulate homemade diets (for a fee), has a calorie content database searcher, a guaranteed analysis converter, and food intake calculator. This site was created by board certified veterinary nutritionists.

Breeds of Dogs A quick reference guide to many breeds of dogs, including photos and brief descriptions of each breed's characteristics.

Behavior problems  Founded by Brian Kilcommons and Sharon Wilson, best-selling authors and recognized experts on animal training and behavior, this site is a terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavioral problems. If you want to learn more about feline housesoiling, barking dogs, aggression, or any other behavioral problem, check this one out!

Behavior Resource  Dr. Sophia Yin's website - lots of good information here with training solutions and videos to watch.

      Two websites that sell easy on boots for dogs to protect their feet from wet surfaces outside. 
      They work great if you need to cover a bandaged foot or a cast!

Bowls for dogs who eat too fast  This site has a neat bowl to help slow down your speedy eater.

Cat Wellness  A great site for general information on cats and their health/care.

Canine Carts  A site that sells carts (wheelchairs) for paralyzed pets.

Choosing a new puppy  This is a nice starter guide of things that you should consider when you are thinking about getting a puppy.

Genetic Testing This website at the UC Davis College of Veterinary medicine offers genetic testing for dogs and cats for certain diseases and traits. Dog tests include DNA typing parent verification, Coat color, Karyotyping, Beagle MLS syndrome, and Canine Hyperuricosuria (Dalmations). Cat tests include DNA typing parent verification, AB blood group, Coat colors, PK Deficiency, Polycystic Kidney Disease, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (certain breeds) and Karyotyping.

Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.

Heartworm Society    Everything you ever wanted to know about heartworm disease can be found here!

Lawn Rescue - Many people ask what to do to help their lawn where their dog urinates on it. Here is a product we found but do not have any testimonials as to how well it works. Let us know if you try it!

Novartis Animal Health  This site is sponsored by Novartis, the makers of Sentinel, Interceptor and Program, and has useful information on heartworm prevention and flea control for pet owners.

Pet Diapers This site has disposable diapers made for pets to help with incontinence issues.

PetDIETS A premier site for pet nutrition advice and homemade diets from veterinary nutritionists.

Pet Slings A site that will custom make a sling for your pet. Slings help dogs that have trouble getting up. Hand made by local NC people!

Plants Toxic to Animals - ASPCA Site  Pick from a list to learn more about plants toxic to your pet.

Rainbow Bridge Anyone who has ever lost a pet should visit this wonderful site. It is a terrific tribute to our lost family members

Soft Paws  Soft Paws are nail caps for cats and dogs. They may be used as an alternative to declawing in cats and may help prevent scratches on people with thin skin when used on dogs.

USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service The USDA maintains this website with information on a variety of animal health related topics, including the latest news on such things as Mad Cow Diseases, foot and mouth disease, and many other things.
