Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement  We have all experienced the pain of losing a pet. The Association of Pet Loss and Bereavement has set up this site for support during this most difficult time. You will find inspirational stories, grief counseling resources, hotline number and many other resources.

American Association of Feline Practitioners The AAFP is like the American Medical Association for cat doctors, and has lots of good information regarding feline health.
 
American Veterinary Medical Association This site is a good starting point to learn more about a variety of topics, including feline injection-site sarcomas and the latest subjects in veterinary medicine

Animal Orthocare LLC  This site has mobility devices for dogs to either correct or accommodate the affected limb(s) of your pet that have been disabled through trauma, illness or old age.

Balance It  An excellent site with many useful tools to determine what your pet is being fed. It can formulate homemade diets (for a fee), has a calorie content database searcher, a guaranteed analysis converter, and food intake calculator. This site was created by board certified veterinary nutritionists.

Belly Slings  A local NC provider of custom made belly slings to aid your dog in walking or getting in and out of cars. (Max's Ortho-Dog Belly Sling).

Breeds of Dogs A quick reference guide to many breeds of dogs, including photos and brief descriptions of each breed's characteristics.

Behavior problems  Founded by Brian Kilcommons and Sharon Wilson, best-selling authors and recognized experts on animal training and behavior, this site is a terrific resource for advice on a variety of behavioral problems. If you want to learn more about feline housesoiling, barking dogs, aggression, or any other behavioral problem, check this one out!

Behavior Resource  Dr. Sophia Yin's website - lots of good information here with training solutions and videos to watch.

Boots for dogs  Two websites that sell easy on boots for dogs to protect their feet from wet surfaces outside. They work great if you need to cover a bandaged foot or a cast!

Bowls for dogs who eat too fast  This site has a neat bowl to help slow down your speedy eater.

Cat Wellness  A great site for general information on cats and their health/care.

Canine Carts  A site that sells carts (wheelchairs) for paralyzed pets.

Cat Fanciers' Association (CFA) The Cat Fanciers' Association website has lots of pictures, as well as information on cat breeds, cat care, upcoming cat shows, and much more.

Choosing a new puppy  This is a nice starter guide of things that you should consider when you are thinking about getting a puppy.

Genetic Testing This website at the UC Davis College of Veterinary medicine offers genetic testing for dogs and cats for certain diseases and traits. Dog tests include DNA typing parent verification, Coat color, Karyotyping, Beagle MLS syndrome, and Canine Hyperuricosuria (Dalmations). Cat tests include DNA typing parent verification, AB blood group, Coat colors, PK Deficiency, Polycystic Kidney Disease, Progressive Retinal Atrophy (certain breeds) and Karyotyping.

Plants Toxic to Animals - ASPCA Site  Pick from a list to learn more about plants toxic to your pet.
