Melissa Irvin DVM
Dr. Irvin grew up in Concord, NC. She graduated from North Carolina State University in 2003 with a bachelor's degree in Animal Science. She graduated from North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After graduating Veterinary school, Dr. Irvin completed a one year internship at Hollywood Animal Hospital, a busy 24 hour hospital located in Hollywood, Florida. Dr. Irvin then worked for a small animal hospital in Winston Salem for 3 years before moving back to NC to be closer to family.
Dr. Irvin started as an Associate Veterinarian at East Lincoln Animal Hospital in 2010. She enjoys surgery and geriatric medicine and she does see some exotics.
Dr. Irvin has 10 year old rescued Great Dane named "Osai", a 9 year tortishell cat named "Kaia", and a 4 year old leopard tortoise named "Tomish". She is pictured here with one of our patients and boarders, "Echo".
In her free time, Dr. Irvin enjoys reading, shopping (unfortunately!), spending time with her family especially her 2 beautiful nieces, and going to the lake with her boyfriend and his family.
Dr. Irvin is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
