Valerie Whalen DVM

Dr. Valerie Whalen is originally from Massachusetts, then traveled up and down the east coast, graduating from the University of South Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry and the University of Maryland with a Master’s in chemistry before pursuing a veterinary career.

She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech in 2006. Dr. Whalen enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, and is especially interested in emergency and internal medicine. She has been a part of East Lincoln Animal Hospital since 2010.

While not at work, Dr. Whalen enjoys spending time with her husband, twin boys, and their two Labrador Retrievers, Hunter and Winnie, and two cats, Beastie and Indiana.

Dr. Whalen is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association.
